About YWAM Honolulu

YWAM Honolulu is a Christian community that mobilizes missionaries to transform Oahu and the unreached world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

For over 40 years YWAM Honolulu has been training and sending young people into missions. Originally known as “Pioneer Ministries,” the heart for taking the Gospel to the least reached peoples of the Earth has always been a significant part of who we are. Seeing young people take hold of their portion in the Great Commission to reach the unreached nations with the Gospel continues to be our heartbeat today.

The people of the Hawaiian Islands experienced one of the greatest Christian awakenings in history just two centuries ago. This breathtakingly beautiful place that once hosted a powerful move of God’s Spirit is now one of the most internationally visited and ethnically diverse places on earth. It is a place where the beauty of God and the Polynesian warmth of Aloha draws both East and West. It is a ground ripe for both ministry and training. Honolulu is an incredible and strategic bridge to the nations.

YWAM Honolulu envisions a day when everyone who comes to the island of Oahu hears the Gospel and sees it in action. We are committed to continuing to pioneer new territories until we see the last people group reached with the Gospel.
