YWAM Honolulu is situated in breathtaking Manoa Valley. The human settlement of the valley reaches back over a thousand years when Native Hawaiians occupied the area both for extensive taro cultivation as well as royal residences. A few remnants of this ancient civilization still survive in the valley in the form of sacred temple sites and taro terracing walls. The legends, place names and traditions of the Hawaiian culture still abound in the oral traditions and memories of long-time residences.

Manoa Valley is one of the greenest parts of the island. YWAM Honolulu is just 10 minutes from down town, 10 minutes from the beach, 15 minutes from the airport, and right next door to the University of Hawaii; making Manoa Valley the ideal location for our base. Our base is not very big, which is great because that gives you a chance to know everyone. We are also within walking distance is a local shopping center with a bus stop, post office, banks, Safeway, Starbucks and other shops and restaurants.
