There are a variety of positions and needs available at our base and endless possibilities for ministry in all spheres of society on the mission field. Opportunities to Serve
Accounting
Our accounting office is responsible for the processing of all
YWAM Honolulu in house funds as well as processing support
free of charge to bless hundreds of missionaries overseas.
Internet and Technology
Do you love working with computers? We have a real need for
network technicians, website designers and programmers to keep
our office and communications network up and running. Let
cyberspace be your mission field.
Registrar
Our ministry here at YWAM Honolulu is to train up young people
to go out into the nations. Registrar oversees the student’s application
process for all training schools.
Receptionist
Without clear communication our office would not be able to function
well. Having a receptionist is the key to helping each department
function smoothly. The receptionist provides first contact for everyone
communicating with YWAM Honolulu.
Grounds Keeper
The responsibility of the grounds keeper working outdoors in the Hawaiian
sunlight is to maintain our 3.1 acre property as well as to supervise students
as they assist in this task during their afternoon work duty hours.
Housing & Hospitality Staff
We see many guests and visitors from all over the world traveling through our
base each year. Our housing department has been created to serve and help
facilitate our guests as we show them hospitality.
Kitchen Staff
Daily we cook for our staff, students, and guests. If you enjoy serving through
cooking and baking, we would like to invite you to prayerfully consider joining
our staff in this position. We have needs for a kitchen coordinator, cooks and
food purchaser.
Maintenance and Transportation Staff
Do you love to build or are you a mechanic? The responsibility of the
maintenance staff is to maintain our buildings as well as oversee and conduct
light construction projects. The transportation department keep our cars,
trucks and vans on the road.
School Staff
We have an ongoing need for staff in our various schools. This includes needs
for staff for Discipleship Training School (English and Korean), School of Missions
and Evangelism, School of Biblical Studies Core Course, and ESL.
Korean Ministries
YWAM Honolulu has a strong and beautiful Korean family. Korean ministries
run Korean DTS’s twice a year with a focus on East Asia and desire to pioneer
new works in the city and University of Honolulu.
Requirements for all logistical positions include having completed a DTS
and committing to work on our staff for a minimum of one year.
School staff positions require a minimum two year commitment.
For those of you who have not done a DTS but wish to volunteer or just see what working with YWAM is like you can “mission build”. Mission Builders are people who have not completed a DTS but volunteer for up to three months serving on out YWAM base. For information on mission building email: personnel@ywamhonolulu.com
