My name is Megan Robbert. I’m 27 years old (almost 28!!!!), and am originally from Everett, WA. I am an only child and the daughter of an incredibly loving, kind, and generous father. Before coming to Honolulu, HI to do my DTS in January of 2010, I never thought I would be involved with foreign missions. I loved Jesus, but felt called to stay close to home. When the Lord flipped my heart upside down in the summer of 2009, I found myself choosing to do a DTS.
My outreach was spent in the Philippines, and I loved it! I loved being a part of a different culture, experiencing new people, new food, and having the opportunity to experience God in a completely new way. He got me hooked! Though I had assumed God would immediately send me to a different country after my DTS was completed, I, instead, felt Him calling me to staff the DTS in Honolulu. This past year of staffing (September 2010 – now) has been incredible! God has taught me so much and continues to amaze me in the ways He can transform peoples’ hearts – and lives – by His love everyday. I am blessed and honored to call YWAM Honolulu my family and home.
